Hello! I'm Courtney McGinley!
I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and have spent my last several semesters learning the craft of Broadcast Journalism at Penn State University. As a freshman starting in the Summer of 2020, I knew that becoming a reporter and a part of a newsroom was something I wanted to incorporate into my future.

During my time at Penn State, I have taken numerous courses such as newspaper writing, radio and television reporting, producing, and podcasting. These attributes are preparing me for life within the field and broadcasting studio.
​
Podcasting has allowed me to explore another facet of journalism and create more conversational interviews to explore the growing medium.
​
Additionally, I was an Anchor, Reporter and Social Media Producer for the Centre County Report. I was also an Executive Board Member, Entertainment Host and Producer for Nittany Talk. I pitched, wrote, and edited stories using Adobe Audition and Premiere.
